A work in progress:

5626 four-part canons on the same melody
by Chrisoph Graupner
(written in appoximately 1730-1735)
First page of the manuscript

So far I have included canons 1 - 2020 (see the notes on numbering below).
It's very possible I have made data-entry mistakes. Please let me know if you find anything wrong!

Here are links to the original scores:
Book 1 (canons 1 - 763)
Book 2 is considered lost (see Next Steps, below)
Book 3 (canons 1905 - 3824)
Book 4 (canons 3825 - 5626)

Some notes on the numbering system for this site:
There is an unnumbered canon between 13 and 14, which I indexed as canon 10013.
There are duplicate numbers 46 - 49, which I have indexed as 10046 - 10049.
There are no canons numbered 63 - 66.
There are two canons numbered 354. I indexed the second one as 10354.
There are two canons numbered 366. I indexed the second one as 10366.
There are no canons numbered 381 - 389.
There are two canons numbered 411. I indexed the second one as 10411.
There are two canons numbered 574. I indexed the second one as 10574.

Notes on canons:
The following canons have dissonances (seconds, tritones, sevenths):
207, 231, 258, 360, 398, 414, 529, 545, 554, 602, 606, 635, 660, 710, 761,
1906, 1911, 1914, 1919, 1920, 1925, 1927, 1928, 1930-1940, 1948-1958,
1965-1992, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2007-2020

Some of the dissonances are marked in the manuscript with a short squiggly line
above one of the conflicting notes. Some dissonances are not marked.
If anyone has some insight into the meaning of the lines (such as suggesting a change in performance),
please let me know.

Additionally:
In canons 415 and 417, the first note of the bass is written as Eb when it should be C
In canon 360, there is an extra bar of rest in the alto part
Canon 1907 has an augmented triad (Eb/G/B) in the bass/tenor/alto voices

Next steps:
-Type up the rest of the canons
-Replace the midi piano sound with real players
-Look for patterns and try to recreate the missing canons of Book 2
